HOUSTON, TX – Four attorneys from the Houston boutique law firm of Hicks Thomas & Lilienstern, LLP have been selected to the inaugural listing of Texas Super Lawyers. Name partners Taylor M. Hicks Jr., John B. Thomas, and O. Clayton Lilienstern were all recognized for their Business Litigation work. HTL partner Brian Keller was also recognized as a Super Lawyer in the Business Litigation arena.
Texas Super Lawyer selections were based on peer nominations made by more than 70,000 attorneys from across the state. A panel of lawyers selected by the Super Lawyers editors made the final selections. Fewer than 5 percent of the attorneys initially nominated were chosen for this honor. Super Lawyers appears in the November 2003 issue of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Super Lawyers magazine, a new publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media Inc.
“We appreciate this recognition,” says Mr. Thomas. “We have a stellar group in this firm and we have been fortunate to have great clients on both sides of the docket who have entrusted us with rewarding work.”
Mr. Keller, Mr. Lilienstern and Mr. Thomas also were named among the best attorneys by Inside Houston magazine (now known as H Texas magazine) in 2002; Mr. Keller for Commercial Litigation, Mr. Lilienstern in Antitrust Law and Mr. Thomas for Environmental Law.
One of Texas’ premier litigation boutiques, Hicks Thomas & Lilienstern has earned an impressive string of courtroom victories for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individuals in mass tort litigation.
The firm recently secured a $1.2 million trial win and appellate victory against E.I. DuPont De Nemours and Co. on behalf of global energy companies Tractebel Energy Marketing Inc. and Tractebel Power Inc.
