David has experience with all stages of the trial and appellate processes in both state and federal courts. As a member of our managed care practice, David represents group insurers, plan administrators, and employers as plaintiffs and defendants in litigation and confidential arbitration.

David has handled disputes involving provider agreements and fiduciary obligations under ERISA, fraud, medical-coding disputes, privacy issues unique to the healthcare industry, and surprise billing under the No Surprises Act (NSA). He is also experienced in litigation involving awards issued under the NSA’s recently implemented Independent Dispute Resolution process.

Prior to joining the firm, David served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jeffrey V. Brown (US District Court for the Southern District of Texas), Justice Jane N. Before clerking, David also spent a few years in private practice at an AmLaw 100 firm, where he focused his practice on commercial litigation and appeals.
