Bio
Cameron is an appellate specialist. A native of New Zealand, he began his career with a judicial clerkship at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, after which he joined the litigation group of a large, international law firm. Cameron practiced appellate law with the firm as an associate and then as a partner for more than 20 years before joining Hicks Thomas in 2024.

- Successfully represented medical school in appeal of multi-million dollar jury verdict in medical malpractice dispute.
- Successfully represented software developer in appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit of “death penalty” and other sanctions awarded to developer in trade secret misappropriation dispute involving software used in the oil and gas industry.
- Counsel for river authority in multiple appeals involving flood damage claims by property owners for actions taken during Hurricane Harvey.
- Successfully represented oil and gas company in appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in dispute involving personal injuries sustained on offshore rig.
- Successfully represented oil and gas company in appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit involving more than $650 million in alleged damages in dispute involving area of mutual interest in the Bakken shale.
